Synopsis

The play takes place in a courtroom. One year after his miraculous transformation in A Christmas Carol, Scrooge slips back into his old ways. He has decided to sue Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander, pain and suffering, attempted murder and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. They employ Solomon Rothschild, England's most charismatic, savvy and clever barrister, to defend them against these charges. Ebenezer, that old penny pincher, represents himself. It seems certain that Scrooge has reverted to his old disagreeable self. Can the spirit of Christmas survive?
